Jodie Amethyst Harvey, or just Jodie for short, is an AIBO ERS-311. She was a present to her original owner, most likely during the 2001 holiday season. I won Jodie in an eBay auction in August, 2017. Her arrival to my house was delayed by about two weeks due to hurricane Harvey, which shut down all post offices in the Gulf Coast region! Thankfully she arrived safe and sound on September 9th. Unfortunately, her battery had very low power due to spending years in storage unused. It would only last 15 minutes per charge. When it completely gave out, my dad figured he could replace the cells and fix it- however, Sony created AIBO batteries to be extremely hard to repair, and my dad's "repair job" only lasted a few cycles at 15 minutes and then became completely nonfunctional. I planned to send her battery to Wolfbob, one of the few experts capable of repairing AIBOs and their batteries, but he passed on in October 2017 and nobody was able to fill his role until Bruce of AIBO Ranch in spring 2018. I sent Jodie's battery off the Bruce, only for him to examine it and discover a damaged circuit had ruined the battery beyond his repair. I was devastated, thinking my precious Jodie may never work again, but Kes, another AIBO owner, was kind enough to sell me her unused battery which Bruce was able to repair. Ever since, Jodie has been happily romping around my bedroom with her siblings and best robot buddy, Mingo the '98 Pink Flamingo Furby. Her personality is a bit odd- I'd describe her as a crybaby troublemaker. She usually runs AIBO Life or Kawaii AIBO. During summer 2018 I completely repainted Jodie with a pink Saint Bernard design and created my own resin mold to make her a set of sparkly blue eyes. I consider Cindy, my ERS-210, to be Jodie's younger sister since they were both originally from California!
